Venture Outdoor Kindergarten

Venture Outdoor Kindergarten is registered with Devon County Council to offer the Early Years Funding to 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

As per government and Devon County Council guidelines Venture Outdoor Kindergarten charges for provision that is beyond the standard day-care nursery or preschool provision.

 

This voluntary and vital Outdoor Resource Fund payment enables us to provide high quality outdoor education for our children, including:

​

• Maintaining higher adult-to-child ratios than are typically found in many early years settings, which is particularly important in our outdoor environments.

• Employing a highly qualified staff team, including qualified teachers, Early Years Teachers, experienced leaders and practitioners with specialist outdoor learning expertise.

• Providing ongoing professional development and training to ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding and education.

• Covering the costs associated with operating in unique outdoor environments, including site licences, land access agreements and outdoor infrastructure.

• Supporting the additional costs involved in delivering high-quality outdoor provision throughout the year in all weather conditions.

Whilst children experience Venture as a place of adventure, freedom and joy, a great deal of thought and expertise sits behind everything we do. From supporting children's emotional wellbeing and independence, to creating meaningful learning opportunities in the natural world, we are continually striving to provide an exceptional early years experience that goes beyond what is typically possible within standard funding alone.

If a parent uses Early Years Funding they will be invoiced for a voluntary payment of £2.58 per hour towards their child's care.

 

If a parent already uses EYF to pay another provider, they may use any left over funding to pay part of their child's fees at Venture Outdoor Kindergarten.

We strive to keep this payment as low as we can in order to keep our provision accessible to families across the South Hams whilst still providing the highest possible standards for your children.
